Fire Brigade Locks - FB Locks
Fire Bridge locks are commonly found in areas locked from the public, however need to be accessed by emergency services or councils. These are ideal for areas such as public parks or fields, as at certain times they made need to be closed off to the public however open for any emergency that may arise.
These types of locks can be either Rim locks (surface mounted) Mortice Locks (built in the door) or padlocks. The rim and mortice locks are available in ‘FB1’ or FB2’ , and you can get either the FB1 or FB2 key to suit. The padlocks are FB1, FB11 or FB14 and you can also get keys to suit these and these only. The FB padlock range also includes a FB1C, which is an FB padlock and chain, perfect for any gates that need a chain to keep them closed.
The FB4 Slam Lock is another Fire Brigade lock commonly used by emergency services, and the one Lockstation supply is reversable. By This being reversable it allows this lock to be used for both inward and outward opening doors. They are used to secure doors to dry risers and other areas that need emergency access.
